Hertford Castle tours are hosted by the Friends of Hertford Castle who are an invaluable group of highly knowledgeable volunteers.
Since 2009, these volunteers have welcomed thousands of visitors to Hertford Castle to explore the grounds, the ancient walls that surround their perimeter and inside the Castle itself. As well as stewarding open days, the Friends of Hertford Castle enjoy tailoring their knowledge for school tours for primary and secondary aged children.
If you have an interest in Hertford Castle, its history and helping the local community, why not get involved? There is no need for prior knowledge - full training is provided. It's a great way to meet like minded people, who meet regularly. Email events@hertford.gov.uk or call 01992 552885 for more information.
